Yoga Style ISHTA:
ISHTA stands for “integrated science of Hatha Tantra and Ayurveda”. It is also the sankrit word for personalized practice.
In this class expect to be taught a slow flow, pranayama and yoga philosophy.
Poses will be held for a longer period of time to explore and deepen into your practice.
In this “alignment focused flow” students are welcome who have a good understanding of their Yoga practice. Participants are expected to have worked their way from beginner’s level up, in order to be prepared for this intellectually more challenging class.
Meditation is the act of effortlessly concentrating on one point for an extended period of time. It is the gateway to inspiration, intuition, insight and regeneration.
Being a yogi doesn’t mean that your life is free of stress. But a meditation practice can keep you from falling into habitual stress-related panics.
In this meditation class you will learn to use simple techniques to quiet your mind so that you can practice and experience meditation.
We will start the class with a simple premeditation asana sequence, followed by Pranayama (breathing) and Krya (purification). With these tools our mind will be ready to enter the state of meditation.
New and practiced meditators are welcomed to this class.
This meditation technique comes from the Tantric lineage.
